Tip 1 - The Horde has the best hub city
The best city to do business with NPCs in is the Undead Undercity. If
you are Horde and have a choice of heading to one hub city, this is the one to pick.
Tip 2 - Everyone loves a Human Priest
Help a human priest hold their own in combat and they may just return
the favour. You will also level quicker.
Tip 3 - The Alliance is popular but
crowded
The Alliance has a lot more quest-based content than the Horde due to
the fact that players like to alliance races like Night Elves, Humans, Dwarves and Gnomes). This can cause crowding
in popular regions.

Tip 4 - Get friendly with the City Guards
Apart from the quest journal, the other thing that clogs up the chat
channel is people in the hub cities asking for directions. Blizzard has a simple solution - just ask a city guard.
They will give you directions to everything in the city.
Tip 5 - The Num Lock key is your auto run
This should be obvious, but you'd be surprised how many players
forget to use their auto run. Auto run is your best friend, though. During long runs you can be checking your quest
log, futzing with your inventory, or chatting with friends. Use it!
Tip 6 - Don't restrict yourself
Quests are not restricted by race. If your a new player and your
character is human you don't have to follow the himan quests, they can take any reasonable quest.
Tip 7- Keep your pets under control
Remember your pets are tools and used for specifics tasks so don't
leave them on "aggressive" as they may draw the wrong attention to yourself and your group.
Tip 8 - The Barrens is a
fact of life
During the beta phase, the area that everybody complained about the
most was the Barrens. Unfortunately they are just a fact of life. Get in there do what needs to be done, and get
out.
Tip 9 - Going it alone?
A Warlock or Night Elf Hunter can generally tackle the opposition if
properly kitted out. But creature will attack in groups if you're pounding their buddy This is where pets
come in handy. Any "Pet" class can use their animal (or demonic) companion can pick em off one at a
time.
Tip 10 - Read the Quest Journal
If you didn't know the 'L' key on your keyboard opens up your quest
journal which gives you all the information you need to solve your quest. It also gives you directions. So make
sure you read it regularly...
