Enchanting is both the nicest and hardest profession to level up in WoW. This profession has many useful aspects
to offer to any player who chooses to level it. With Enchanting you can enhance the pieces of your gear with
greater stats which will contribute to the overall output of your spells and abilities and will make your
character’s performance maximized.
Disenchanting
When you choose Enchanting as one of your primary professions you will also get the ability to
disenchant items. Any uncommon, rare and epic item you don’t need, even if it is SB (soulbound) you will be able to
disenchant into valuable essences, shards or dust.
The items you will get with disenchanting are used for enchanting other items and are also quite
valuable, which means that you can sell them on the Auction House and make a nice profit.
Gear comes and goes. During the levelling you will change many sets of gear as well as when you get
to level 80. With the new dungeons and raids, new tier sets, etc. your need for improvement will just grow.
Any item that you wore will become useless once you get a new and better one, and all you can do is
sell it to the vendor for a small amount of gold. With disenchanting you can disenchant all the pieces of your old
gear and get some valuable items.
As mentioned above, Enchanting is used to enhance your char’s stats. However, specific benefits you
will gain are definitely the ring enchants.
Whatever class or spec you are you will find the use in the ring enchants, simply because there is
no one else who can have those except an enchanter. For a healer or any dps this comes as a special boost and many
player specifically level up Enchanting because of the ring enchants.
What does an Enchanter need for his work?
For the start, an Enchanter needs a trainer in order to learn his skill. Enchanting trainers can be
found in all the major cities around Azeroth as well as in Outland and Northrend. The next thing is an Enchanting
Rod. For certain levels of his skill an Enchanter will need different enchanting rods.
These rods he will be able to make himself even though he will need a help of a Blacksmith to make
him a specific metal rod such as Arcanite rod, Fel Iron rod, Adamantite rod, Titanium rod, etc.
How to get the mats?
An Enchanter can get the needed mats by disenchanting items. However, in order to get to uncommon
or rare items you will need to grind or to buy them on the Auction House. This comes are very time-taking and
expensive.
The best solution for an Enchanter is to pair this profession it with some crafting profession such
as Tailoring. In order to craft items with tailoring you will need a lot of cloth. As cloth is really easy to grind
this profession combo can be the perfect solution.
How to profit from Enchanting?
As an Enchanter you can easily make a nice profit by selling your skills or by selling the
disenchanted items. When it comes to selling skills, the higher enchants you got the more chance you will have to
charge for your work. As for disenchanting the items, it will be fairly easy since most players need shards,
essences and dust for their own enchants.
